Apologies to Mark Twain

It was pointed out to me (thanks, brother Neil) that my post from a couple of days ago grossly misquoted Mark Twain. I called the post "A River in Africa." Mark Twain said "Denial ain't just a river in Egypt." I have updated the post.

Please excuse my most egregious error. I'll try not to let it happen again!

Mark Twain said neither of these things. "Denial ain't a river in Africa" first turns up in 1998 in book of the same name -- where it is not attributed to Mark Twain. In any case, the word "denial" didn't acquire this meaning until Otto Rank began using it -- after MT's death in 1910. Ben Griffin, Mark Twain Project, Berkeley CA.
